The rake blocking

1. Reset machine: Unplug the plug and plug it in again, then hold down The 3rd button from the left for 10 seconds
2. Check that the rake is secure. If the rake is fixed and cannot be moved, press and hold the third button (LED switch button) for 10 seconds to reset the litter box until you hear a "beep", then restart the machine, start the cleaning button, and observe whether the rake is working normally;
3. If the rake can move easily, the screw is slipping, the reason may be that too much cat litter has been added and the rake is overloaded, Please make sure no feces is sticking to the bottom.
4. You can check whether the sensors on both sides inside the machine are blocked by dust or other obstacles, wipe it gently with a damp paper towel or cloth, and then try to activate the cleaning button.
5. It may be that the garbage bag blocks the sensors on both sides of the machine, causing the rake to pause. You can open the rear hatch, take out the garbage collection box and garbage bags, then restart the machine, and activate the cleaning button.
6. You can change to clay litter.
7. If none of the above works, pull out the pedal and remove the litter box, then push back the pedal without the litter box, restart the litter box, and see if the rake able to work.
8. Press and hold the pressure switch on top of the door and the power button at the same time, wait for the rake to rotate, and then release it. The rake will return and the door will return. Rake stuck in door, unable to return
Press the lower switch on the switch board to revert it to its original position.
In the cleaning state, the door is closed and the green light is on
It could be that a trash bag or something else is blocking the sensors on the sides of the machine, causing the rake to pause. You can open the rear hatch, remove the garbage collection box and a garbage bag, restart the machine, and press the clean button.
After the ring light is turned on, the door lights up in red, and upon pressing the clean button, it emits two beeps but remains unresponsive, with the clock panel inactive.
This situation is usually caused by improper installation and use of the pedal.
You can use it like this:
1. Plug in the power first.
2. Please take out the bottom drawer before use.
3. Press the buckles on both sides. The magnetic strip in the middle is responsive and makes a clicking sound.
4. Press the power button.
5. Then press and hold the LED light button for 10 seconds to turn on the ring light. During normal use, the indicator light will show blue.
6. Press the first cleaning button for automatic cleaning.
Note: During use, when the cat comes in and out, the pedal becomes loose, the red light flashes, and a beeping sound is caused. This is because the position of the pedal moves. It is not sensed by the machine and the pedal needs to be restored to its original position.
Door cannot be closed
The door opens in standby mode and only closes when cleaning. Press and hold the pressure switch on the top of the door at the same time, wait for the rake to rotate back to its original position, and then release it. If you want the door to close, you can manually press the first button to turn on the cleaning mode, and the door will close and clean.

If it is not the adapter that comes with the machine, it is possible that the power of the adapter is not enough. You can try changing to a more powerful adapter. If it still doesn't work, you need to replace the machine's motherboard.
Why doesn’t the litter box clean itself after the cat leaves?
If you haven't already, please set a cleaning delay time in the app.
For example, if set to 10 minutes, it means that the machine will not start cleaning mode until 10 minutes after the cat leaves and the litter clumps. Note: Cat litter boxes cannot automatically be cleaned immediately after the cat leaves.
Is the UV light safe for your cat?
If a cat enters accidentally while the UV lamp is on, the litter box will promptly detect and stop the UV operation.

We recommend utilizing a mixed litter, such as plant-based or bentonite litter, for optimal performance. Ensure that the litter used has granules shorter than 5mm to achieve the best results.

No, currently our app can only record one cat's toileting habits and set the time interval for automatic cleaning after your cat uses the litter box.
Can kittens use ELS PET Litter Box?
Yes. ELS PET Litter Box uses laser and Infrared sensor technology to detect when your cat enters and exits the globe, which triggers the countdown timer and cleaning cycle. So it has almost no weight limit for cats. Due to the small size of kittens born within one month, it may occasionally cause the infrared sensor to fail to detect kittens born within one month. Therefore, kittens that born within one month or weigh less than 2.3 lbs can use ELS PET Litter Box, but not in automatic mode. Until they weigh enough or born over 1 month old, we recommend using your ELS PET Litter Box in Manual cleanup mode to keep your kitten safe and relieve you from litter box scooping. For Manual cleanup mode, we recommend that you leave ELS PET Litter Box powered off or unplugged to save electricity bills. When you see your kitten has used it, wait about 10 minutes for the waste to clump, then power it on. ELS PET Litter Box will automatically perform a clean cycle. Afterward, power it off again. Continue this supervised, semi-automatic mode until your kittens have gained sufficient weight to activate the Infrared sensor. We advise against allowing kittens or cats that weigh 3.3 pounds or less to use the litter box in automatic mode without supervision. Their lighter weight may not trigger the cat sensor properly. Cats should weigh at least 5 pounds to safely use the litter box in automatic mode.

"Introducing a new litter box to your cat? Fear not! These proven methods will help your feline friend adapt to the Els Pet litter box in no time:
Leave it turned off:
Start by keeping the smart litter box turned off to prevent startling your cat. Once they've used it, activate it for a cleaning cycle. Encourage your cat to be present during this to familiarize them with its motion and sounds while you're there to reassure them.
Stop scooping the old box:
Place the Els Pet litter box near the old one without discarding the old box yet. Add a bit of the old litter to the new box to provide a familiar scent. Let waste accumulate in the old box gradually to make it less appealing, motivating your cat to use the new one.
Create positive associations:
If your cat seems uninterested, use catnip or treats to entice them near the Els Pet litter box. Place treats around the box, associating rewards with the new space. Reward your cat with treats, playtime, and affection when they use the new litter box.
Make it attractive:
Consider using cat-attracting products or additives in the litter. Ensure the Els Pet litter box is easily accessible and not placed in a corner that might make your cat feel trapped. Try opening the safety door to make the installation more inviting, as cats are naturally curious and love exploring boxes."
