Sprinkle a few treats around to encourage exploration. If they're still hesitant, let the old box go uncleaned for a couple of days. Once they use the Spaceship II, activate a quick clean cycle to let them see and hear it in action. Power on fully once they’re consistently using it!
Absolutely! The Spaceship II has four sensors that work together to make sure it only cleans when your cat isn't inside. You can set the clean cycle delay up to 30mins for extra control. During cleaning, the safety door closes and only reopens once cleaning is complete—keeping curious cats from peeking in. The Spaceship II works best with clumping litters. Fill the litter drawer with 5L of litter, keeping it between the MIN and MAX lines. High-quality clay litter that clumps hard and quickly is ideal. Avoid low-quality bentonite litter that turns muddy and non-clumping litters like wood pellets or crystals.
